    Leaky injectors...I think!

I put a new lift pump on a around 1500 miles ago. Recent changed discs and pads. Filters around 700 miles. I can’t identify any notable holes in the hose. What’s the best way to check for this? There’s plenty torque in her, just top speed and hills. Since changing the radiator, the temperature...

    Defender, unreliable and badly made.....

I like mine looking rough and ready, to me that’s how a defender should luck. There are too many Chelsea tractors ‘cruising’ around. Every single one of them should be naturally dirty!!!

RX8 seats or other alternatives in 90 hard top

I must be an old miserable sod as I like the original seats. They bloody comfortable are easily adaptable. (I must say, a few years ago I was attracted to RX8 seats) but after comparing I didn’t see the point. My legs hit the steering wheel. I do like the idea of removing the bulkhead and...

    Leaky injectors...I think!

Over that last couple of years I’ve observed a noticeable drop in the performance of my 300TDi. I drive around 50/5mph on duel carriage way as it’s comfortable. If I really want to push it, it can do 70mph or just north of that, but it’s a 1994 Landy and 50mph is a good speed in my opinion...

Valuing a Defender - where to start...

The prices are ridiculous at the moment and not consistent. Realistically, I would be asking £12k but to be fair, they are only worth what someone will pay. My advice would be.... be honest and open as buyers will pay more with confidence they know what they have to spend to get it the way they...

    Defender door button and latch

I’ve given up with trying to figure out the strange world of the Defender lock and latch system!!!! from day one, I’ve experienced issues with the door unexpectedly unlatching and opening, whether stationary or not. Other times I am unable to unlock the buggering thing and need to enter via the...

    New wiring loom

Thanks chaps. It sounds doable as long as I take my time and map out carefully what will be required. I’ve previously used Wiring Solutions in Darby - Is there any other suggestions or recommendations for where to source the wires and connectors etc. I know our very own PaulMC has been...

    New wiring loom

Has anyone made their own wiring loom? I am fed up with intermittent electrical issues as a result poor wiring mods throughout the years by previous owners. I have the wiring diagram in the workshop manual, but no idea what specific lengths etc I require. Ideally I would prefer to leave the...

Found this underneath the landrover! Should i be worried?

It’s the valve from the tyre I think. It can’t be yours otherwise you would’ve known about it by now!

    Battery

Just a quick one. I've got three old car batteries sitting in the garage that have died through lack of use. I was wondering, is there anyway such batters can be restored?

    Oh no.....

Though it is a possibility, it is highly unlikely that would arise out of the blue without any earlier symptoms. I would be more inclined to to think seals.

    Silver to black

    Get them powder coated.

    Oh no.....

I’ve never heard of this happening following the replacing of injector seals. It’s certainly one of the more easier jobs to do. I suggest to record your oil level once it’s completely cooled down. I would then consider draining the oil and testing it. Finally, replace the seals yourself.

    Aaron's 90 rebuild round 4

Yeah I’ve also met him a few times, he is a very friendly and extremely helpful chap. The last time I spoke with him, he was juggling work with his rebuilds and was having an unbelievable amount of aggravation with the neighbours. I hope we see him back on here soon, like James Martin, he ti...
