    300tdi fuel injector question......

But I remember rightly, the 200TDI banjo was a single pipe. Oh well it doesn’t matter I suppose.

    300tdi fuel injector question......

Cheers chaps, that would explain why I have no pipe. Why not just make that banjo with a single pipe? Oh well.

    300tdi fuel injector question......

IVE just noticed mine is to, surly that would allow air into the closed fuel system.

    300TDi Turbo/Intercooler hose

Bugger me, if they delaminate to such an extent, Shirley they can not be air tight? For the cost of a new set of hoses, I would be sensible looking to replace them all. Also, I had a brief look at the injector pump, it doesn’t look like it’s been touched since new. Two of the screws are seized...

    300TDi Turbo/Intercooler hose

I think I have an old Smiths one lurking around in the garage. Not sure about the tube etc. I will check.

    300TDi Turbo/Intercooler hose

    Unfortunately not. All seems well.

    300TDi Turbo/Intercooler hose

thanks Mick, but I’m trying to diagnose the issue I’m have with the drop in top speed etc. A process of elimination. I’m assuming that pipe should be more resistive?

    300TDi Turbo/Intercooler hose

It’s ridiculously small, in fact I’m not sure it goes all the way through. It’s crazily soft however.

    300TDi Turbo/Intercooler hose

From what I can see, all jubilee clips are in place nice and tight. However, I have discovered a minuscule pin hole, I mean tiny. Would you realistically expect this to have any detrimental affect on top speed or reduction in speed going up hills.? Thanks

    300TDi Turbo/Intercooler hose

Two things - 1st. How ridged should the hose be between the turbo and intercooler? Wheels I appreciate it’s not pressurised, woukd I still expect to have some resistance when squeezing it. I would have resistance squeezing the softest loaf of bread, there’s just no resistance at all. Very soft...

    Odd one

Ooh the temptation. I mean Lynall why would I for one moment consider selling the old girl, how else would I blissfully spend ridiculous amounts of money constantly replacing and fix things.

    Odd one

Yes, that would indicate ‘M’ is 1995. Yet DVLA have the same VIN number record as 1994. All I can do is assume DVLA is correct as all my numbers match up perfectly, including engine number.

    Odd one

Yup. All numbers match perfectly and all appears to be in order. The issue is clearly how the VIN number is being decoded. As far as I can see, it is the 10th Character which indicates the manufacture Year. The 10th Character on my VIN number is an ‘M’ which is either 94 or 95. It is definitely...

    Odd one

Each record states a different date, 1991, 1994 and 1995. Which one will be the correct date?

    Electric Conversion....I don’t get it!!

Are you really suggesting that the infrastructure is in place to accommodate full electric vehicles? How do on street motorist charge their vehicles? I could be wrong, but I cannot see how the infrastructure that is in place is suitable.
