00KK53 - My Soft Top 12v GS TUL 90. So a soft top 90 then......

Lucky! I usually expect to find a hole big enough you can stick your head in behind these!

    Brake pipe fittings?

    True that!

The Insurance Claim will be interesting on this one...

Sadly it probably won't be worth the paper it's written on. The report will all be second hand info to the officer writing it up and in a case like this, which it looks like only involved one vehicle (2 technically!) and hopefully no injuries, then they will not write a hell of a lot. I have...

    Brake pipe fittings?

No, the long skinny things that you tighten a wing nut down on.

    Brake pipe fittings?

I just bought a roll of pipe and bag of M10 x 1 unions and a Tee etc. I ordered a set of SS braided lines too. Luckily I have access to a bench mount Sykes Pickavant flaring tool. However, about 10 years ago when I made a load up, I bought the pipe, cut it all to size using the old...

    Td5 engine cutting out

Have you checked for oil in ECU loom? These are the same symptoms I had last year, managed to fix it on friends drive with some brake cleaner in a Wurth scooshy bottle and using air from a diving tank! Go disconnect the battery, pull the ECU box cover, pull the red loom connector, is it oily...

    SP Rear Door delivery...

Utter nonsense. Ashleigh is who I dealt with too, you can say you know for a fact that she knows there is an issue and is therefore lying as she has dealt with the very same issue with someone else, i.e. me! I was not the first either, you can also comment that you know that Paul made comment to...

    SP Rear Door delivery...

Well my door arrived with a ding in the bottom corner where it had no doubt been dropped! Door had slipped free from its cardboard protection band and was rattling about in the box loose.

    SP Rear Door delivery...

This sounds like my story all over again, this is from their email to me last summer: "Looking at the timescale of when you ordered it must have been on of an early batch as we have a process in place now that makes it impossible for the hinges tubes to be misaligned like in that photo. As now...

    Hot Dip Galvanising

From my experience of using several galv yards over the years I'd say that the quality is achieved through a good dip spec. If you specify to them them what you want yo will get a good finish and no warping, with a bulkhead for example the key is to specify that it is air dried and not cold...

what if Crankshaft/flywheel timing is off a tooth?

Nice one, he is a top bloke, I have had some business dealings with him over the last few years. He is some man.

what if Crankshaft/flywheel timing is off a tooth?

A crank and cam misalignment I can see, you said flywheel and crank which is the same thing. This is more feasible.

Clutch master and slave thread sizes

The pipe came form this chap: https://www.brtmotorsport.co.uk/products/landrover-defender-200-300-tdi-clutch-hose?_pos=2&_sid=8dcb57bfd&_ss=r The exact spec of my clutch line is a 3/8 banjo for the master end and a 7/16UNF union with a male flare on the pipe, the flare is SAE 45 however, I...

    Difflock indicator problem

I will be fitting a new master cylinder over the next day or so, I will see if I can identify the colours of the wires for you while I am in amongst it all.

    Difflock indicator problem

It runs from the switch on a 2-3 wire loom which also has the reverse light wire and runs up to a connector on the bulkhead where it then heads into the dash. Find the reverse light wire and see what is also on that small loom.

what if Crankshaft/flywheel timing is off a tooth?

I don't think it has happened. Does it run normally? The flywheel is bolted to the crankshaft, how can it be out a tooth? These engines have chains, doubt anyone will have messed with it. How have you arrived at this "timing" issue? If you think the crankshaft and flywheel are off by 1 tooth...

    SP Rear Door delivery...

After receiving a badly made rear door from SP they were very helpful in the end and sorted it all out for me, they even sent me the replacement door before I had even sent the bad one back. They did have a bad rep but I think they have sorted it. The fault was with the hinge holes being...
