Does anyone know the colour of the unlock feed to the central locking of a puma?

The door card is off but I am struggling to find the feed to the actuator which powers the unlock

The diagram shows the opening signal from the alarm unit being white/black, but this leads to a brown wire. The closing signal here is on white. The drivers door looks like it can operate as a manual trigger (with the door key instead of fob) and this shows an extra white and brown wire, presumably for closing opening. Looks like brown is most popular for the opening signal.

Thanks.

Basically. I want to trigger the interior lights at the point of unlock.

So I was going to add a relay to the brown feed of the unlock. So when the unlock is triggered it simulates a door opening turning the lights on

Does this sound like a worth plan?

Thanks
Nick.

Sounds feasible, but is it worth it because they are going to come on as soon as you open the door. And..............light is fast ;) :p

Madness as it sounds, but i live in a very unlit area and having the lights on from a distance makes it a tad easier to get to the car.

You'll be wanting puddle lights on your wing mirrors next :D

I think the interior lights come on when you unlock most modern cars these days, don't they? My 12 plate Mondeo had the puddle lights on the wing mirrors and they were handy, in very dark places, to be fair.

Please be aware that I am no auto-electrician!

Good luck with the project.

If you have access to a Nanocom there is a setting 'welcome light' you can enable to switch on interior lights when alarm is disabled

Pretty sure that can be programmed in.
