    MPG Comparison

    - 1988 2.5 turbo 19J bog standard - 7.50 knobbly thin tyres - Very hilly - Short journeys - carrying stuff - Taken from speedo distances - (which may be out) and the first 1/4 of a full tank seems to leak out going up hill. - 19.7 MPG

Picked up the landy with the redbooster kit now fitted - does exactly what it says on the box really! Super easy to press the clutch - totally different.

Servo fitting for Stiff clutch knee pain

I looked into this as well - but my landy has a different clutch lever without a spring in that place! Should have picked up the landy yesterday as it’s finished now but didn’t make it to the garage, will go get it Monday !!

Servo fitting for Stiff clutch knee pain

To be honest I’m not sure what it comes with - I got the box delivered and dropped it to the local garage. I will have a good look and take some photos when I get the vehicle back. I love an automatic! my main vehicle is one, think a defender would be great as an auto... if the engine had a bit...

Servo fitting for Stiff clutch knee pain

Ive had the “tratter” for a few weeks now, its a work runabout so just been used now and again - although I’ve been getting in it instead of my hilux, (for short journeys) as I really like driving it - despite the terrible seating position, no radio.... slow...guzzles fuel... smells...tears your...

Your thoughts on the 2.5td 19j engine??

In all seriousness I’ve not had it that long - it’s done over 130000 miles and its sweeet !!

Your thoughts on the 2.5td 19j engine??

I have the 19j engine in my 90 - it’s probably a bit quicker than what you are describing.... but not by much, although I don’t rev mine too much just in case it rattles it’s self to bits...29mpg err no !

Bad leaky fuel cap advice wanted

Pretty bad though as diesel spilled is slippery for motorbikes and the land rovers are bad enough on fuel as it is ! It shouldn’t really be a problem to be fair but there you go

Bad leaky fuel cap advice wanted

It seems ok regarding pressure - there is no hissing when the cap comes off - when it first happened I thought the fuel cap had fallen off there was such a stain on the wheel arch etc! I have ordered a new cap so will put that on and see

Bad leaky fuel cap advice wanted

I filled up the blue beauty today (1988 “turbo”) for the second time since I have owned it - on the way back I did a couple of stops and noticed the leak from cap all down the side of the rear wing and wheel arch! It was doing this a bit before, but I did not realise how bad it was! as I went up...
