I am looking into converting my 90 pickup - will any 90 hardtop fit? I suspect the vehicle was a hardtop previously as it has a different colour under the blue on the cab back and tailgate. Also holes where hinges may have been!
I really like the look of the hardtop and a roof rack will allow me to carry long bits of wood that won’t fit in the back.

Any 90 hardtop will fit but NOT a Series item.
Up to you to decide if you want plain sides, windows or full CSW spec.

Sounds like there should be a few to choose from, can always have windows installed after I guess. Have found a local breakers so will chat to them this week see if it’s affordable!

eBay is your friend, roofs cant be posted, sometimes if you use the nearest first option you get lucky. Be aware a roof wont fit in the back of a pickup without some serious consideration.

There is actually a tatty roof and sides with windows on the bay at the moment ! Although I have just been looking at soft top conversions haha...I didn’t realise how versatile these vehicles are !

Where are you
I have a roof and sides (with blind spot and rear windows) in North east Scotland......

I now have a pick up.

I did spot those sticks, Ive got a Safety Devices military type roll bar on mine, when I go truck cab and bikini for the summer that all I should need.

Could not get my push bike in the back without taking bikes to bits.

Pick up I just stick em in upright with the wheel turned and strap it down

I've had most types of roof..
I really like the full canvas for summer - roll the rear sides up, and it's a great convertible.
Truck cab is a bit too 'cosy', and I prefer a full hard top. It can be lifted in alone - and takes around 15 bolts to secure IIRC. (It's been some years)
Then you get into drop down tailgate or door? Again - both have their benefits. (Where will you mount your spare wheel)
The trickiest bit was mounting the safety belt for the soft top - but just buy the right kit, and you're sorted.

At the moment the spare wheel just sits in the back ! I know what you mean about cosy! but it’s warm which is nice at this time of the year
