P38A EAS Leaks - Help Needed

Yes sorry should of been clearer yes you leave the 4-pin in there. I'm more than happy to leave it as it is don't need the self levelling when the things parked! I just hope it's not sat on its arse come sunrise ;) Thanks for all the advice either way.

P38A EAS Leaks - Help Needed

Well I will know for sure in the morning but fitting a 4 point relay (yellow from the engine bay fuse box) seems to have solved the issue!! Am in north Devon on holiday this week so longest I've left the car is 3 hours, and that was in high mode and didn't drop at all. I live in hope! These are...

P38A EAS Leaks - Help Needed

Just found out a good trick to disable the self levelling when the ignitions off. Apparently if you got a standard 4 pin relay in place of the delay timer the EAS won't run with the ignition off. Going to try it with a yellow one from the fuse box. It says to keep the 6 pin standard relay in the...

P38A EAS Leaks - Help Needed

I bought a brand new valve block and fitted it before I first fired up the eas after converting from coils. Last week I swapped it out for the original valve block that was already fitted to the car just to see if it made a difference and same thing happened as before. If I install new height...

P38A EAS Leaks - Help Needed

No I just fitted the schrader valves to the rear airbags. Inflated them manually and left them overnight and they didn't deflate. I never actually started/ran the car like this. Unfortunately no nanocom ;( I am looking to sell the car soon so need to get this sorted before I do.

P38A EAS Leaks - Help Needed

Ok so know I'm even more confused. If I inflate the rear using the valves it doesn't go down overnight. But when I removed the delay relay from under the passenger seat the rear went down but both fronts stayed up. I will post a screen grab later showing the retrieved height sensor info from the...

P38A EAS Leaks - Help Needed

Well unplugged the relay and this morning both rear bags had deflated and fronts were still at the height they were left at. Fitted new shocks last year, the right way round?! Also had to file the 5th bag to get it to fit. There was no obstruction there. Neither of the 3 bags I've fitted to the...

The bag had been fitted to the car and working fine for weeks. One morning reversed out of my flat driveway and it popped. I'm not looking to CSI how it happened but I know that it did.

Having to sell my 2001 P38 30th anniversary. 145,000k. Have thrown loads of parts at it in the last 2 years of ownership totalling over £1500. A few off the top of my head- BECM health check at CallRova, full EAS replacement (as was on springs), new shocks, brakes, tyres, Magnecor leads, new...

P38A EAS Leaks - Help Needed

Ok thanks. I will try the relay thing tonight. After reading up on the height sensors a lot of posts refer to a common symptom of the car dancing around at traffic lights ect constantly trying to adjust itself. Mine has always done that, assumed it was normal! I will report back.

P38A EAS Leaks - Help Needed

Hello, I'm after some help with EAS leaks on my P38. I converted it back to air in february, brand new compressor, valve block and dunlop bags. The car deflates if left for a period of time sometimes overnight. I have replaced both rear air pipes with rated tubing, cut with the correct tool...

    P38A Pinking Under Load

Ressurecting this old thread. Turns out the pinking was down to the MAF, thanks Wammers. Swapped it out for another cheap pattern one to confirm and the pinking went away, for about a fortnight, then started throwing the same code again. Have ordered the Bosch MAF now. My question is will I...

    P38A Pinking Under Load

It shall be cleaned first. Reading into Maf's seems it's worth splashing out on the Bosch one. Will an overnight battery disconnect reset the fuel trims?
