    2.5 DSE Pump Timing

Thanks Wammers, I have the dimensions (probably from you) from another post. Do you know of anyone who has tried the "mark the flange and rotate the pump 1.5mm towards the engine" method of tightening upm the chain? Cheers

    2.5 DSE Pump Timing

Hi Gents, Does any one know where I can hire a DTi Gauge and Pump Fitting mount to time up my 2.5 BMW FIP, near to West Devon. I would buy them but as this is something that needs doing once in a blue moon - it they will sit in the tool box gathering dust from then on Cheers

    Diesel Hot Starting Fault P38

Hi Doncarlyon, All I used was a resitor 2kohm and a programmable relay, which treats the ignition feed as a pulse to switch the circuit through the resistor to the temp sensor and after a timed period (30 Secs) turns the circuit back through the direct line to the temp sensor. This also...

    Diesel Hot Starting Fault P38

Hi Doncarlion, a switch disconnecting the sensor makes the ECU adopts a failsafe setting which equals slightly warm and doesn't fully remove the issue. By switching the feed through a resistor either via a timed relay or by a relay switched through the alternator charging signal automatically...

Hand Brake switch where is it?

sounds to me like the dash is earthing through the hand brake light bulb. The switch (if you have one) will be on the handbrake lever under the rubber boot. Our 86 90 did not have aswitch so the light did nothing till we fitted a 2nd hand lever.

    Vehicle Tracking: A Beginners Guide

Hi gents, I hear all the arguments for and against and am totally confused - All I want is to be able to find my landy in the countryside after some jealous scrote has lifted it in the hope of nicking the kit off it, or breaking it for parts in the privacy of another location. I need something...

Insa Turbo Ranger or Insa Turbo Traction Track?

Hi Insa turbo traction tracks are a copy pattern of the BF Goodridge track edge - theyare 70% off road 30% on road, a real chunky looking tyre that looks bloody good an a defender or an off roader looking RRC - if your Rangie is a posh looking jobby they might look a bit much.

    not a r/r problem

Hi There, I have some xperience of Jags. The valve in the filter housimg is a bypass valve for if the filter becomes blocked in order to prevent oil starvation. Yu need to work on the pump pressure relief valve, this will be set higher than the filter housing valve but still not as high as to...

    immobiliser fault?

Sounds to me like you need it resync'd. Takes seconds to do either with a syncmate, or by paying a stealer £60 plus call out if you put out a post asking for help from some one with a syncmate you might be lucky and find some one local who will do it for a beer

    Front Hub and ABS

Typical, Fitted a shiney new front hub today, followed the set up for the ABS sensor to the letter - namely lubricate it with silicone grease, fit it against the hub and let it set its own gap when you drive it, and guess what - ABS fault appeared on the dash, and the light will not go out. The...
