    Steel wheels

You're probably better starting a new thread my friend, that way it will get seen quicker. Top right of the main Freelander page is a green box that says post new thread. The first question you will be asked is the model and type of Freelander you have...

Not the right forum, I know...

I have a very big, very scary looking Alaskan Malamute who would be ideal, except he is far too friendly!

Not the right forum, I know...

That looks perfect, thank you :) The one on there seems to me to be more supported by the door than the carrier, it's doing the same as yours - stressing the hinges. The door does need a rebuild ideally but I thought if I could get him a better spare wheel carrier and probably new door hinges...

Not the right forum, I know...

... but it will be a Christmas present for my son and I'm pretty sure he won't look in the Freelander forum! At the moment his Defender stationwagon has a spare wheel carrier that fixes to the offside rear and the back door, every time he closes the door the weight of the wheel is shaking the...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Good luck Rich, keep us updated. After I've asked myself Why???! My next thought is often "how much will he scream when I kick him so hard in the nuts he has lumps in his throat"!!

What have you done to your Freelander today

Stop praying :p If you do get any please keep it up there, my motorcycle and I loathe the slippy white stuff!

    Newb Freelander owner seeks... advice

There is a chrome pair on ebay for £35 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chrome-Fog-Lamp-bezel-surrounds-for-Land-Rover-Freelander-1-2004-07-facelift-Td4/382567374496?fits=Model%3AFreelander&epid=12023871684&hash=item5912cadea0:g:zBMAAOSwgeBaeCHJ Wifey likes them, she's American and likes chrome, I...

Freelander 1 Considering a FL1 as a bit of a fun/project car and dog transporter

I like the ramp idea MrWB, might have to look into that :) Regarding tyre pressure monitors - it is not something I would use because of the weight on top of the tyre valve. I suppose things have changed over the years but about 10 or so years ago some guy in the Suzuki owners club...

Freelander 1 Considering a FL1 as a bit of a fun/project car and dog transporter

You're more than welcome to pop round and see if you can persuade my incredibly lazy and very large Malamute into the back of my 5 door TD4, you'll know how much room there is for a dog! I will get round to putting him in there one day but as his legs aren't too good and there is no way I can...

    Wiring question

Lost out on a stainless steel A nudge bar on ebay but I may have the chance at a soft LR nudge bar with the spot lamps at the side for my '04 TD4. Is it safe for me to assume that the existing wiring loom will have the connections in place for the spotlights? I have the factory fog lights so I...

    very stupid question....

:p Bash my head on the A pillar as well getting in if I'm not careful - the joys of being 6' 5", might have to convince my neighbour to let me try his disco and see if that's any better. Thanks hd3, I'll have a nose at those. For me the steering wheel covers whole of the temp gauge, most...

    very stupid question....

Short of changing the steering wheel for smaller one, I don't suppose there is any way of getting it to sit a bit higher than at full height adjustment? Being a bit on the tall side, even with the steering wheel at full upwards adjustment it obscures half the dash...

Should LZIR be hidden from google searches?

I haven't signed up for IR yet - not much point until I get round to taking a car test! My lad has signed up and if he is asked to go then I will jump in his Defender with him and a large box of tools. I do keep an eye on IR requests because I may be able to throw a few tools in a rucksack, jump...

    Freelander 1 Another 1.8 !

I use NGK Iridium Spark Plugs in my bike, expensive but worth it. Always the first thing I change when/if I buy a second hand bike. I check them every month and give them a gentle clean if needed - my bike has been tuned and is very sensitive to dirty or wrongly gapped plugs.

Cars have feeling too, it didn't like the previous owner!! :p

    Microcat

That is a Land Rover part number - I highlighted and googled the second number, it's a throttle pedal for a FL2 TD4

    Tool Boxes

JTF might be worth a look if have one local, I was in there the other day and they had various different tool cabinets. Costco in Birmingham had I think 2 of those cabinets two weeks ago. I keep my sockets in the steel case they came in, torque wrench in it's case and I have a large (and damn...

Anyone bought a new defender chassis recently ?

Stretch it to a 130! Bear Bones Racing have a new GKN 130 Puma chassis, if I had the cash I'd be starting a project with that.

    My 56 td4

Some nice mods Danyou, I really like the roof rack. You do know the light at the end of the tunnel never gets any closer? A project car is the same as a project bike - there is always something else to do/change/modify :p

    Freelander 1 Fuel Burning Heater

Picking your brains again Nodge - I looked briefly over the remote start threads, I'll read them properly later but as I am a lazy so and so at times, is there a kit I can buy and fit you know of?
