Correct, they're all in Series. Any of them blow and that chain is broken, none work. Edit, realised I've just written exactly what you said but worded differently :rolleyes:

Turns out it isn't as good as originally thought, smooth gear changes but still pops out of 3rd even gentle overrun.

I'm looking for a middle seat for my Series, to go between the two defender seats I'm using. Black and usable condition please, don't mind it being a bit tatty though, it's only for the dog. I'm in Poole, Dorset.

Pump timed this morning and it's night and day compared to before the refurbishment. Nice and smooth idle, no chuffing from the exhaust and much less smoke. Barely any at idle and only a bit on hard acceleration. Definitely recommend to anyone considering doing it themselves.

Just bits of metal and rubber, take photos as you go and watch a few videos beforehand. Easy enough if you go steady. I used https://injectionpumps.co.uk/ for parts.

Leaking from the o-ring on the pump head. I've sent my spare pump off for refurbishment but in the mean time I thought I'd whip off the original and give it a go myself. £55 quid ish for a rebuild kit and 1hr to remove and strip.

I was just being facetious, you do whatever you want to do as its your vehicle. Just because it's completely illegal to be claiming tax and mot exemption doesn't mean you shouldn't be doing it :rolleyes:.

I'm after some shims to set the preload on my front diff pinion bearings. Think they're the same for discovery/defender/series, just metric or imperial. Anyone got any laying around?

Afternoon all, Today's job is rebuilding the front diff after I discovered a lot of play in the pinion bearing. I've got as far as driving in the new races etc but the original shims give me way too much preload. Does anyone have a selection of shims for the front Rover type diff and ideally...

I've got no door seals and just a bikini top so everything gets wet in mine. I realise now looking at the photos it looks like carpet... They're the outdoor door mats you'd often have by your back door rather than carpet. So hopefully water retention won't be too bad.

The o ring this chap is pointing to is looking most likely, I can't see it being from that union to cylinder 4.

From watching a couple of videos it looks like it's maybe leaking from between the pump head and main body. Can this be fixed in situ?

Afternoon all, Noticed a diesel leak when I recently parked up, dribbling down the side of the block, clearly from the injection pump. Bit of a clean up and it's coming from the side that faces the bulkhead, a dribble rather than a squirt. Removed the injection pipe to cylinder 4, then...
