My 110 has a button you have to push in in the middle of the clock and twist so you may have one of those (although more likely to be the two buttons).

    HD Springs

Worthwhile read - thanks. I think my first thing should be to check whether the auto-leveller is working. I've never actually noticed it sitting that low when fully loaded. What may have happened yesterday is the shocks bottoming out rather than the suspension. At the moment most of the time...

    HD Springs

Not too bad - we have a pretty young team but they're showing potential since the team average was ~91 ex 100. Just need some practice / coaching to push them to the 95+ averages. Our small-bore captain did pip the highest individual with 97 on the first card then 99 on the second (beating...

Nope, small-bore (.22 Target Rifle) We were competing in an inter-university grand-prix up in Cambridge (first of the season). Teams of 6 but we had two teams (plus myself as driver) and also helped out the University of London. So had 13 from Imperial, Captain from London and and all the...

    HD Springs

Just curious if anyone has them fitted and whether there's a noticeable difference in handling / comfort on the road? Reason I'm asking is after driving our rifle teams up to Cambridge this weekend (9 people in the 110 plus 10 rifles and usual stuff like hi-lift etc) the suspension was pretty...

    Long distance in a defender

Commute to work over the summer was 33 miles each way and had no issues at all - morning was at 65mph and return journey was, shall we say, a little higher... Done 12k in the 110 since I bought it in May and it's had no trouble at all - apart from a small leak from the water pump which was...

    window screen wiper click

Check to see whether there's any play in one of the spindles. I have a click at certain speeds and it's the bit that screws onto the spindle is worn so the click is when the play causes it to slip and rotate a bit.

    rear springs and shocks

The rear end stuff is easier than the front if you've got the setup I'm thinking of. When I replaced the shocks on my 300Tdi 110 the front I ended up putting the front axle onto a couple of axle stands then using a Hi-Lift and the normal jack lifted the front of the bodywork reasonably high to...

From what I remember you don't need to take of all of the start - you can "prise" things apart enough to remove the switch without removing certainly the dash.

    Problem with lights

We had a similar problem on an S reg Defender. It's fairly simple to remove the switch stalk from the steering column. Check this over - basically what had happened in our case was the contacts were arcing because of sh*t on them - gave it a good clean with some contact cleaner and back to...

    Defender underfloor heating

Warmer option though - I did pick the most extreme one (with a -22°C comfort zone - i.e. anything above and you'll begin to roast). Seriously though - once you've slept in a decent sleeping bag then your whole view of them changes. I've got an old one which I only actually get inside when...
