What did you do with your Range Rover today

OK, from what little I know of these I would say that's poor even for the 3.6 with the 6 speed box. You mentioned the clutch not locking up the other day. Is it Definately getting to 8th gear? Worth trying it in manual and making sure it is actually changing up all gears. I believe you should...

    Gap iid tool query

I have run gap on an HTC, two Huawei and currently an oppo find x5 and all were fine. You can download the app and run demo mode to prove the app works then the only unknown is the Bluetooth but unless your phone is eleventy million years old it will be fine.

How you getting on with fuel economy these days? I didn't realise yours was a 4.4, if so, your figures are woeful.

    L322 Gearbox issue

Crumbs, are they still going? I took a mk2 granada to them with a broken sprag clutch in about 1988. I didn't bother fixing it in the end, just drove it on the selector in second and third. I'll do some diagnostics when I get it back on the road then decide what to do. Thanks for all your advice.

    Looking to buy a l322

I think there was possibly some improvement to oil feed to the turbos on the 4.4 but it isn't without issues either. It's like all land rover products, you can either buy cheap like I did and know you have a bit of work to do or spend more to get a good one with good history and look after it...

    Looking to buy a l322

The 3.6 and 4.4 tdv8 are basically the same engine as far as I'm aware. The big gain on the 4.4 is the 8 speed box.

    Looking to buy a l322

If it's the jag 4.4 v8 it's not **** at all. In fact, coupled with lpg it's by far and away the best option. 3.6tdv8 is pretty good, not as good as the 4.4 tdv8 but far from bad.

That's a darned shame! Any recommendations around Lancashire for someone who knows what they're doing with these? Enjoy your retirement, I'm not in the least bit jealous! 😂😂

    L322 Gearbox issue

We'll, the NHS really isn't doing a great deal for me so I just decided that I needed to get on with life and just take what they provide when they provide it. Not ideal but it is what it is. Yes, I am planning to do that. I also will be running some traces of available live data from the...

    What to buy

The timing chain is going to be far cheaper than a new engine when the crank snaps on the v6. That said, I agree with everyone that the L322 is the last of the "proper" range rovers and some don't even agree that as it didn't have a separate chassis.

    P38A Opinions on a P38 Diesel Requested

There are diesel P38's being virtually given away on fb and eBay if you keep looking. A grand for one on coils with known issues is steep. I paid less than 2k for my 08 tdv8 with less problem than that.

    L322 Gearbox issue

Thanks Phil for the, as ever, comprehensive reply. I don't feel it attempting other gears and I think it goes into 4th OK. The PO said this started after a gearbox "refurb" but I have no idea what the refurb consisted of. I suspect just a fluid change. As I said, it drives flawlessly in...

Hi all, Still far from fit and battling the NHS for answers but got to the point I just decided I have to start living my life and what will be will be. Anyhoo, that brings me onto the other struggle in my life which is range rovers. I've got the sunroof drains clear and after weeks with a...

    P38A Heater

Never underestimate the drag a wet road and rain apply to a vehicle. My old ampera used to show power consumption. At 80mph on cruise on perfectly flat dry motorway it used around 20-25 KW. On the same stretch in heavy rain, it was more like 30-35 KW Just think how much even a relatively...
