Series 3 Anyone seen these before?

When making it . It was a case of cutting a rectangle of plate, making two bends then make two cuts, bend again cut a bit out, weld together, and weld a bit in. Drill two holes and cut an opening. Easy...............I don't think. It was a pain to make. C'mon other restorers,How did you do it?

gearbox tunnel question series 3 1983

I made a cardboard template, made a new section, it needs a couple of holes drilled and will be trimmed after fitting. Then cut out the bad stuff and will try fitting over the next day or so.

Windscreen hinge brackets measurement Series 3 1983

I just checked my original mark and it measured 1406 mm so that looks fine. My son is coming around later and will help me try the windscreen and bolts/brackets for position ( too heavy on my own). Will see how near it is, cheers for the help Peter

Hi folks, Can anyone tell me the distance between the hinge brackets mounted on the bulkhead? I had to cut one off when repairing the bulkhead and although I made a measurement mark I want to double check if it is correct. Thanks Peter

Only the frame plates on the back which were spotwelded on. Nothing in the way of a water trap.

1983 series 3 radiator panel repairs

Just a few piccies of my repairs, new bottom part plus a couple of pitted areas. Replacement bottom was supplied by Welding Wood. I am quite pleased with the end results considering my welding skills are very basic.

    Steve's unexpected Series 3 rebuild.

Hi Steve Just to thanks for the comment on my build. Yours looks very good with a lot of time and effort been spent. I left my bulkhead bolted to the chassis at the four mounting points for repair work. I cut the offside pillar out bit by bit and marked and measured its position before...
