I had a safari grille on my 300Tdi disco. Did they do one for the disco 2?

The wire can be run through the inside of the A-pillar by squeezing it through the top front corner of the door seal on the windscreen. Somewhat crude but works if you don’t have a snorkel. Otherwise, as Phil says, you can drill the roof and run the cable through it using a suitable adaptor.

They look like a retrofit item to stop the seatbelt catching in the door. Maybe from the like of mud stuff?

I’ve got them in my 90. As Mick says, they’re for a dog guard. Mine only fits to these brackets and not the roof. You will likely find a dog guard on eBay for not much money if it doesn’t come with these brackets.

Do you also mean the wiring from the light bar into the cabin?

Thread revival! I can get a road bike with a 58cm frame in the back of my 90 without taking the wheels off. And the 90 has a centre bulkhead.

I’d reinstate the original injector and ensure the engine is fully serviced. But ultimately you won’t get around it being a 30+ year old diesel. It will never be a euro4+ engine.

I’ve got a Brownchurch galvanised roofrack on my 90 which will take marine ply well. I’m sure yours can do the same.
