Here's diagram for D1 -'95 The wires for heated mirror should be Black/red for +12volts from heated rear screen circuit and Black (chassis ground) both sides

    Disco 1 electrical fault

I've had a look at circuit diagrams and can find no common connections between both circuits. They both derive some power from adjacent fuses on facia fusebox behind flap on drivers side. And there is also a connection from the wiper relay to the BCU which is also in close proximity. The only...

    Classic 175cd2/3/se/???

If the caps are missing then so are the damper rods and this will allow piston to open unregulated and make it very rich. The tubes are supposed to be filled with oil aswell.

    Classic 175cd2/3/se/???

If yours are butchered they were aslo fitted to lots of 70's and 80's TC cars such as Triumph Stags, Lotus Elans twincams etc. I believe all the main parts of the carbs are the same irrespective of engine size they just differ by the needle and jet and damper springs.

    Side Light Replacement

I don't think it has CANbus system. I did have an Early disco 2 (2001) for a while which didn't. I'm mostly familiar with RRC and I have a Disco 1 now.

    Side Light Replacement

What model of Discovery ? The difference between CAN Bus and non is that LED bulbs use much less electrical current and a CAN bus equipped vehicle will see that as a fault. So CAN bus LED bulbs are made to take this into account. LED indicator bulbs will not work on older vehicles as the...

    V8 3.9 fuelling problem?

The best solution for running dual fuel is a smart box produced by RPI engineering. It allows you to set timing for petrol and automatically changes it when you switch to LPG. Timing is usually advanced for LPG because it burns slower. I had this set up on a classic RR this way you get optimum...

    Disco 2 Exhaust Headers

If you go for headers make sure you wrap them, I had terrible overheating problems with a 3.5 RR turned out that radiated heat from individual pipes overheated block. The cooling system was all brand new so it wasn't to do with that. I refitted original cast manifolds and no more problems so...

    do these diagrams exist?

Not quite sure what you mean but looking at both sets of diagrams you can see the connectors(C) that the wire connect through the other number correspond to the pins but just look for pink and orange wires. At the top of the lower diagrams the dotted lines S2009 and S2007 are splices (all wires...

    do these diagrams exist?

Actual wiring The "C" are the connector numbers should assist in finding each end of wires, this is central locking which also integrates into theft system. The wires you are looking for are the orange(O), and Pink (K) ones

Disco 2 No brake light when the light is on

I think you will find that the earth wire to the cluster that goes out is broken or corroded. What is happening is the power is going to earth via the other bulbs in the cluster, but when you turn the lights on you are losing the path because you have added the lighting power.

    Classic Central unlocking.

Check where the wires are crimped into the terminals (at the plugs) for corrosion if the copper is black they may be high resistance . Testing the voltage pulse at the doors with a multimeter will not give an accurate result as it is too short a duration.

    what is this wire for

I think its the grounding wire for the filler neck/ emissions vapour seperator, It would be to discharge static , The filler neck etc is mostly suspended between the rubber grommit at the cap end a nbd the rubber hose at fuel tank.

Hello fellow LR sufferers .I am to introduce myself after many years in the wilderness ( and no I wa

Been a long time since I had one and the abs is a totally different system to my Disco 1. I think it is the ABS (wabco block) that is stopping that brake line check state oo all pipes between wheel and ABS you may have a bad leak that is causing ABS to block that port or the abs may be faulty.
