    Defender filler cap

The problem is the one I need is NRC9572. Non locking, two lug, large diameter. The Paddock on is Britpart,( not a deal killer but still....), and is £38.77. I still might have to bite the bullet, but will try a few scrap yards first. Thanks for the contributions guys.

    Defender filler cap

I did the same thing. Left it on top of the tyre (when I usually leave it on the floor so I don't forget it), drove off and wondered what the lump was as I drove off. It's gone an interesting triangular shape. I'll keep an eye on ebay, only had one on there when I looked, slightly more expensive...

    Defender filler cap

Paddocks seem to have them as well, but being a tight bugger I thought I'd look for a used one.

    Defender filler cap

I'm looking for a fuel filler cap for my 1985 Defender, the large diameter two lug type. Anyone have one hanging around?

I have a working 24 spline diff and half shatts, entire rear axle in fact. The only problem is I'm in Suffolk, close to Sudbury. If you're interested PM me an offer?

Do I need a new brake master cylinder?

Thanks Zephod, all the rest of the brake system is new, and the pressure holds OK. I think I'll leave well enough alone.

Do I need a new brake master cylinder?

Thanks for the replies folks. No black fluid, no leaks. I suppose what I really want to know is if it fails, do you find out by suddenly having no brakes (I know there is a split braking system), or do failures happen slowly?

Do I need a new brake master cylinder?

I found out that the clutch master cylinder was knackered (black fluid). I've replaced this, but now wonder if I should replace the brake master cylinder. They both seem to date from 1985, and of the two the brake MC seems to be the must safety critical. But, how can I get any indication of the...

Meet the neighbours - who are we talking to ? ... Face to face .. :)

Haven't got a handy mugshot, but my avatar shows my plump rump:D Seriously, one of the best reasons for turning up at the LZ meets is the chance to not only put a face to a name, but perhaps buy them a pint if you owe them a favour.

I thought most of LZ's pages were sexual problem pages, one way or another:p

LandyZone12....24th-26th June....Everything You Need To Know

Even better than last year! Thank you to the organisers who put in so much time and effort to ensure it all went well. The food stall and bar were just what was wanted, laning brilliant, if surprisingly slippery, and best of all was meeting so many new faces and blasts from the past. James...

I'll be there about mid-day, with the bar extension gazebo, raffle stuff etc. Any plans for Sunday? If there's laning on Sunday and I help pack things up, is there any chance of staying over Sunday night?
