    Meet Noel

So much for regular updates and making the most of bank holidays. I'm sure that even when you have left home, parents can mess up the best laid plans. In this case, one of them decided to die on me! Anyway, this weekend just gone I continued to strip apart the rear tub and actually managed to...

    Meet Noel

Finally the weather has warmed up enough to re commence tinkering. (Sorry, I'm a fair weather tinkerer) This weekends task was to prepare the rear tub for painting (it wasn't, it was meant to be fuel tank and lines plus brake pipes but my craddock order still hasn't been dispatched!!) After...

Installing drive train in series 3

    Series 3 Brake pipes

Morning all. My brain cell has given up. I need a complete set of single (?) Pipes for my s3 but have confused myself. Do I buy a roll of pipe plus fittings and try and work out what to do? Buy a "set" with fittings and work out how and where to bend them. Or, buy all the pipes pre bent with...

Td5 Defender 90 "Lots of body filler, and no money to fix"

Just make sure your box is the right volume for the speaker to get the best performance. Personally I avoid porting. Also, make sure it's securely fixed. Decapitation by sub box isn't much fun.

The Little Discovery That Could (financially ruin me)

Oh dear. Been there, done that. I did around 1k with the diff locked but I didn't push the speed over 40ish 9/16" rings a bell. Pretty sure that I bashed on a 14mm spanner, but I was roadside with a sheared prop and a cheap spanner set and a rock

The Little Discovery That Could (financially ruin me)

Keep the faith. With all the effort you have put in sofar, your guaranteed at least 5 minutes of perfect green Laning before something brakes.

The Little Discovery That Could (financially ruin me)

Well done on the swift turnaround. Sounds like an internal cylinder weep. No loss of fluid but no braking.

I still regret selling my D2. Why have you ditched the air suspension?

The Little Discovery That Could (financially ruin me)

This is a great write up of your project. Really enjoy reading it. If it makes you feel any better, I had allowed £1k per month to rebuild my series 3. The first 6 weeks saw £7.5k leaving my bank account.
