Reassembled the engine! Nearly there now, just needs injectors and inlet manifold etc, coolant filling and then running. Hopefully this might spell the start of some slightly reliable use to earn it's keep, otherwise I foresee it changing hands!

It'll be done properly, the guy's been building motors for everything from racing bikes to classic trucks for more years than i've been alive, specialising in diesels so i'm sure he knows what he's doing.

Fortunately the guy is pretty friendly, and will fit the new stem seals and reassemble for me. I'll have a new injector socket to refit the injectors myself by the time I get the head back :)

Stripped a new cylinder head in the ****ing rain. I say stripped, my injector socket wasn't thin enough to remove the injectors and my valve spring compressor doesnt have the reach to remove the valves, so it was dropped off for testing considerably more complete than planned!
