Disco 2 Wiper blades not wiping

I bought these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264401191053 over a year ago, they fitted perfectly, wiped perfectly and are still fine. Quite an achievement for Lucas, but credit where it’s due……

    Coolant loss

And due to the heat in this area, unless the leak is quite bad, the coolant evaporates before a tell-tale drip can be seen.

    D2 gearbox issues

It is on the left hand side of the gearbox (called the starter inhibitor), partially (or completely!!!) obscured by the exhaust downpipe and catalyst. You probably need to get yourself a copy of the RAVE workshop manual (if you haven't already), but here are a couple of bits from it, many are...

    D2 gearbox issues

I wonder if they aligned the wxyz switch correctly when they replaced the ‘box?

Oil pressure warning light, any ideas?

Well done on sorting it! However, the wire colours are interesting - the connector should have one black wire (unused) going to contact 2 and one white/brown wire going to contact 1, the switch. Anyway, only one wire is used. Edited to correct contact number!

Oil pressure warning light, any ideas?

@Menash have you unplugged the oil pressure switch to check the oil light goes off (don't start it, just go to key position 2)? If it doesn't go off, you have a wiring problem. If it goes off, the switch could be faulty.

Oil pressure warning light, any ideas?

I did the manifold on mine a few years ago and that is just about exactly what I did with no issues.

Oil pressure warning light, any ideas?

+1:eek::eek::eek: it would be a very unfortunate coincidence!

Oil pressure warning light, any ideas?

That would be a far more logical way of doing it, but it isn't. The pressure switch closes at low pressure and opens when the pressure is above about 0.5psi, switching off the light. Unplugging the switch, cutting the wiring, would also switch off the light. The operation is described in the...

    SRS Td5

The driver’s airbag is in the steering wheel so the problem could be with the rotary coupler also. You really need RAVE, you may be able to download it from https://www.dropbox.com/sh/47hbz40an5he5j2/AABYJTmOSmlWjXq5_Mczvua6a/Workshop%20manual.pdf?dl=0 Good luck.

Disco 2 Air con fan help needed

+1 ^^^ If your 40A fuse hasn't blown with a seized motor, the chances are the problem with the aircon lies elsewhere. You can get a new fan motor here https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1408527&jsn=16 but you will need to transfer over your old fan. The aircon problem is more likely...

Air flow logged low, IAT logged high.

I've just properly read the title of the thread! Looks like the MAP/IAT sensor is dead and I am sure the airflow is recorded as 0.0 if the MAF is unplugged.

Air flow logged low, IAT logged high.

I have a nanocom, so tell me to keep my nose out if I'm going completely down the wrong track, but Inlet air temp of 248F (120C) seems a bit high:eek:, even if you are still in France. Where did that temperature come from? I've looked over a couple of my old nanocom files and the Inlet air...

Decent Disco breakers for trim and rear light

Not this year, we will do the visa next year. So many people over here talking about it and going for it for next year. Must investigate properly when we are back and have proper broadband. The leg bit for the horn button is lost somewhere in the steering wheel I think, so if I can't think of...

Decent Disco breakers for trim and rear light

All good thanks!:):) Just getting ready to return to the UK, we are running out of days. I've got a couple of small jobs to do on the Disco first, one being to repair the horn button which has jumped out as one of its small legs has broken and I'm still recovering from finding out the price of...

You could try: “Discovery 2 Parts Quality Used and New Parts & Accessories Call Paul on 01206 211623” Although I have not used D2 Parts, he seems to have a good reputation. Good luck.
