    300tdi alternator blocked up

If temp gauge is showing correct temp then all is good. Remove alternator and find fault/repair/buy a new alternator and new alternator belt. Also check water pump for no excessive wear where there may have been extra load to pump pulley/pump bearing. If all good go drive again.

    V8 Lack of power

In addition to @Rougharse Racing above, it would really be worth starting with your ignition system first...especially where your garagiste has had the vehicle for 12mths and one never really knows the knowledge of a non-RV8 workshop. Run through the following to get back up and running. 1...

300Tdi coolant leak from Engine block

As a temporary fix [that will most likely last forever[ you could buzz back the core plug and apply a good layer of JB Weld. But be careful when buzzing back as the plug's already leaking so the metal is already worn to near paper thin around the holes. If you plan to change the core plug...

300Tdi coolant leak from Engine block

This core plug can be removed using a long flat faced chisel/drift and a lump hammer. Ease it out. The trickier part due to space restriction is to install a new core plug squarely so the new plug is square and seals water tight. It's not much work removing the manifold et al to ensure a 100%...

Tow bar on an older 110

Would not a 150mm-160mm drop plate do the job, or the 200mm? See here for Alko Dixon-Bate tech ref.pdf https://www.alko-tech.com/en_gb/get-download-file-data/13602

    Advice for Snorkel on EBay

This. Raised axle, gearbox/txfr box and engine breathers taken to top of bulkhead are more important then the snorkel. Recommend buying the Gwyn Lewis kit as this will get you safely through 600mm of water without a snorkel.

See here https://www.lrworkshop.com/parts/ERR3539 I see no real advantage in changing to a 12v jobbie + be sure to buy G grade replacement unit.

This is normal. Just send your FiP to Diesel Bob and be done with it. He/the team do a superb job and your pump will be returned better than new. The great thing about Bob is that he also has a great sense of humour... http://www.dieselbob.co.uk/SoapBox.aspx

    Alternative Front Seats?

That's because you've yet to install a set of leather RX8 seats, until you do you will not understand.

    Alternative Front Seats?

No and the rails need a little modifying, but once in with a set of 1" seat risers they're very good seats to have. I fitted mine a few years back and they're as good now as when fitted. See here for my install and wiring diag info...

    Alternative Front Seats?

Take a look on Facebook, there are plenty of leather RX8 seats for sale atm, most in very good condition. Also search for RX8's being broken for spares, you will find a good set.

    Who turned out the lights

@gymmaniac , it's really worth fitting relays to the lighting ccts and it's very easy to do. But do not buy the pre-made Boomslang kits as they're a pile of junk [carp wiring/connectors/quality].
  17. v8250

    Who turned out the lights

This is a simple process of elimination. 1. power o/p from fuses [if not, check feed 12v and fuses] 2. check for power i/p to switches = wiring good 3. isolate lights from switches, check continuity or 12v o/p across switch = switch good 4. re-connect each lighting load and check until there's...
