    Sounds like the nut has broken free from the back of the bracket. Centre punch the head and drill it out, then replace with a nut and bolt most likely would be best.

    So the plates provide protection against the tank being pierced by debris or stones etc. Plus if the prop throws something up. The subframe need to be dropped to get the new brackets in anyway so no point in cutting. Sorry to break bad news. The subframe happily lowers with bolts out then feed...

    Fitted an HSE rear parking sensor system. All cables were present in the vehicle. Just needed switch, dash trim, bumper loom and 4 x 28mm holes in bumper.

    Look for voltage across the fuse link before you move it. Switch some stuff on and any voltage measured shows some high resistance somewhere in link or connections.

    Unlikely to be bushes in the arms. Check the trailing arms, the ones that run from hub to chassis. Also worth checking subframe not cracked or mountings not broken.

    Usually caused by loss of travel on clutch as the master and slave get older. Press clutch into carpet and if the gear change improves then worth bleeding the clutch. As clutch wears out pedal and bite point rise up.

    Not difficult. Driveshaft out with sharp smack with block of wood on inner joint having separated the hub and strut bolts. The bottom ball joint can remain. Pull hub forward and remove shaft from box. Seal prises out and new one drifts in with suitable sized socket. Obvs more oil may come out...
