What have you done to your Freelander today

Will be having a crack at replacing the front passenger door lock assembly tomorrow…

    Help!

You don’t need to be a mechanic. There is a fuse board in the boot, by the spare wheel. Pull fuse FB6 (15amp), which powers the Haldex ecm. Then drive and see if the problem is still there or not. The Haldex kicks in briefly as you pull away, turning on AWD. You will then rule in or out the...

I would just like to say

… I’ve just finished installing a new rear subframe, new suspension arms and new rear driveshafts to my F2. Prolly the biggest job I’ve undertaken on my own, on the driveway. And it seems I did it all correctly!

What have you done to your Freelander today

Finished the job of fitting a new rear sub frame and suspension arms and new rear driveshafts to the F2. Went quite well, but then I was not rushing. Also treated it to new battery.

    Help!

Have you tried pulling the fuse on the Haldex and seeing if it still happens?

What have you done to your Freelander today

Received the Haldex ecm back today - great service from Matt here; https://www.haldexrepairs.co.uk/product-tag/land-rover/ It has had the scrabble mod done, and also had the N373 valve tested at the same time. Only had a couple of hours today, so reinstalled the N373 and ecm onto the haldex...

And if it didn’t leak, it didn’t pass inspection and had to be sent back for more holes?

Woah! Don’t say that - you’ve been in it and know how nice it drives! Wait till later this week - more shiny bits will appear here (hopefully!)

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Tyre choices - Falken?

Thanks Stance. Good to know. I might well go for them… I see no reason not to.

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Tyre choices - Falken?

I remember reading about them when you posted… glad they are going well. The 805’s only go to a 55 profile, not 65. They have very little in an F2 size if you want anything all season/AT

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Tyre choices - Falken?

Anyone had experience of Falken Wildpeaks? I run the Geolander GO15’s on my F1, and have no reason to complain. Good all-rounder for general road use and occasional green laning / off road. I’m looking at options for the F2, and these seem a comparable alternative in terms of price.

It does - a very strange play on the lighting. Trust me - it is just a very unclean iX3!
