You will need to lift the roof a bit to cut the bolt & then remove the disk part. Parts look like the earlier photo from @kevstar Once part removed you could just replace with long bolt @ washer into the bottom tube

Are you taking the roof off? The other 1/2 of the bolt will come out

Some of the braided use banjo bolts on the end for the caliper

Are the rear axle one longer? But the ends(shape) may be different. Other option remake pipe to suit newer style, Or Get some braided extended style

Bit like the old VW beetles… used to use the heat of the engine,all good till exhaust gasses get in or the sills got rusty & the heat escapes. No heater in the S1 truck cab. Just fit a radiator muff.heat from the engine keeps you really warm.turn on the electric fan for extra heat if needed...
