    Just raised it with them and they said "heating element with contacts is separate in the package". I replied "Nope, All I got was a plain mirror and 3 sticky pads".

    I have just received a replacement glass for the driver's side, and although the Advert said "heated" there's no wires, just a plain glass. Is the "heater" for the mirror glass, part of the carrier frame or have I been had?

    Yeah, it's possibly going to be a problem at the time we come to sell. Ours was done by a reputable(?) company and the product/service had a BBA certification. This was done some 15 or so years ago and the roof hasn't fallen off yet. :)
