autosparks. but the bulkhead loom is about £1k if your bulkhead loom is salvageable, get it all out of the car, and onto the kitchen (etc) table, with a battery connected up, the bulbs etc in place, and a wiring diagram. go through it all, and work it out, and repair it. if you can do that...

ps bare in mind that a 300 loom from autosparks is insane money, so look up the costings before you get too carried away

Id go 300 loom, and get blade fuses etc. If you change the headlights to LED (either a drop in bulb in standard housings or all-in-ones) you dont get the heat at the connector. I can see no bonus to keeping the older loom if your going to be changing the temp sender etc as it is - the thread...

I just looked it up. M12 fine thread has a 1.25mm pitch. These use a 12x1.0mm thread. So, yes, 12mm but not standard. Again Ali express has the tails. eBay probably does too.

This doesn't help with your original question, but, if the bulkhead is off, and repaired, really, dont put it back in. Brace the bottom, get it blasted and hot dipped, and youve instantly solved yourself a load of future bother. With regards to your actual question, I too am out of range, but...

With the updates to the 300 timing chest (moving the lip about etc) the belts last well enough for most that I'm not sure the gears are that desirable? This, coupled with, the lack of real damage when the belt goes (some pushrods and, if you're really unlucky, a rocket) it seems hard to justify...

as above, look at the pipes under the bonnet when it does it. see if any are collapsing, then work out why (if they are)
