    Blend Motors P38

And thanks Irishrover for calibration message. I hadn't realised I would have to do that.

    Blend Motors P38

Thanks, Fanatic. Blimey, 2 hours, it takes me more than that thinking about it! Why do I need to ensure EKA code works - is it because I (should) have disconnected battery? I know it often says disconnect the battery for a lot of jobs but I would prefer not to if possible on the basis...

    loud noise from dash?

Read somewhere that there is a Air Con temp sensor behind the dash that has a little fan that flows air over it so that it gives a better reading? Could it be this?

    Blend Motors P38

Hello Gents (sorry and Ladies) I got two quotes to change the three blend motors (£600 and £640) so decided to do it myself, following the method recommended here Blend Motor Diagnosis and Replacement. The one thing that concerns me is that I don't fancy removing the Instrument panel, but...

Air con need Rovacom "All about 4x4"

I'm having Air Con problems. Have stripped it to the HEVAC but before I go further I need to get it to a Rovacom to try and establish the fault. Not too far from me is a company called "All About 4x4" near Redditch. They have a Rovacom and offer to hook up and report for about £32 which ain't...

MPG is improving with PSI Powerbox

Just left a reply but it seemed to disappear into the ether! Mine a BMW 2.5 auto, has 23.4 mpg on display and not reset for 10000 miles (about a year) Handbook says 20.3 Urban, 30.7 extra urban and 25 8 combined. I would have thought that was as good as it gets because I am sure Land...

MPG is improving with PSI Powerbox

I just recently fitted a PSI Powerbox to my P38 (BMW) and the the car does appear to be giving improved MPG according to the display but I question that it knows what the Powerbox is doing. My point is not about that though. I drive very carefully most of the time, like an old codger...

    twang?

I get that "twang" intermittently perhaps once a month or so, quite loud, seems to be from right front wheel but can't see any problem. No warning lights or anything though....no help to you really!

    Air con fault p38

I have just tried this switching ignition on and off quickly and fault did appear to go (Picture of manual no longer there) but came back after 2 minutes and won't go away now. Tried going up and down the temperature form hi to low and back, both sides, but no improvement. Then tried...

    towing power from a 2.5

I have a RR 2.5 DSE 2000 and I tow caravan 1500 kg. It has to work hard up the hills! I am sure it will tow your van - but I have to say I might think twice about towing 1800 kg regularly. I have just fitted PSI Powerbox and it does make a difference. I have towed with Shogun, Jeep...

    Air con fault p38

Guy, Go to PSI motorsport : Turbo Diesel Tuning. Actually this company has stopped supplying it very recently - supply now with Britpart. It does make a difference. Just noticed you appear to have petrol engine, no good for you.

    Air con fault p38

Will look at HEVAC plug tomorow after first trying the very easy things - turning ignition on and off very quickly a few times which seems to work by clearing the fault for some - and also clicking temp from low to high and back a few times see if that will clear anything. Will report later...

    Air con fault p38

Thanks for info chaps. I have been looking at the threads on Blend Motors which I knew nothing about before! The thing is, there is no variation in air temp (always cold) from driver or passenger side unless on "Hi" then I do get hot air but only from passenger side - so I think there must be...

    Air con fault p38

Hi Guys Thanks to assistance from GEMSDAD a couple of weeks ago (in the week of high temp weather) I successfully fitted a PSI Powerbox to my 2000 P38 - and what a difference it makes (the relevance of this later). A couple of days later, went off to Cornwall. As soon as we set off it turned...

    PSI Powerbox

Thanks Gemsdad that is really helpful to me. Now I know the round one's are under the manifold I will look see if I can find the "Pressure sensor connectors" tomorrow. These smaller plugs again are one male and one female, The female replaces a connector you have to unplug from the...

    PSI Powerbox

Hi Guys, sorry for delay, I'm more confused now. Tried to copy the instructions to here but that wouldn't work. If someone could look at them for me I would be happy to send them through. As I don't know what I'm doing it's difficult to answer questions! Basically the instructions start...

    PSI Powerbox

I just bought a PSI Powerbox for my P38 (2000 BMW). You clever blokes seem to say it's a piece of cake to fit. NOT by me it aint! The connector under the manifold I think I can do (haven't tried yet, engine too hot) but the others..... It says "Place the small connectors from the powerbox on...
