with one rear wheel jacked/braked and in gear, there is about 2" movement clockwise/anti clockwise before the drive shaft moves. normal? no sideways or horizontal movement on either rear wheels. Just seems excessive the amount of silver oil that was dropped compared to the front.

Managed one corner at a time but struggled to get the springs out. Grinder and spring compressors proved useful. Apart from that its like driving a new vehicle with new springs and shocks. Used allmakes springs and terrafirma shocks standard. Thanks for assisstance.

Your right safety first- so one corner at a time- REAR lift d2 up by radius arm and fit one axle stand on the radius arm mount/chassis. loosen wheel nuts and put hyd jack under axle- lift wheel and remove. loosen bottom bolt of shock and lower axle If spring will not fall use spring...

It's the basic Pursuit model with standard dampers and springs. seven years old so not behaving as good as it was. Lower bushes gone on front shocks so thought I would renew the lot. Just want to get spec right with new shocks and springs.???????????????????????????????????????????????

04 DISCO 2- What standard height shocks and springs would you recommend for TARMAC, ROUGH TRACK and occaisional towing. Like the idea of upgrading to gas shocks but which ones? Terra and Monroe seem ok on paper. Any advice on this please?

Had the electronic wheel alignment test/adjustment apparently one toe out at the front. Hopefully rear tyres will wear evenly. Ask me in 3 months!
