Rear Axle on D2 - 2004

Gents,
Took the wheels off yesterday and noticed that the there is excessive wear on the rear tyres. N/S inside edge and O/S outside edge. I bought the vehicle secondhand with new tyres all round 6 months ago so it is over this period the wear has taken place on the rear. I understand it is a fixed axle with no adjustment- has anyone come accross this?????
No noisy bearings or excessively worn bushes.

PS Booked in for measuring axle alignment!

Either got to be bushes out or something twisted, or heavily out front axle causing car to crab and drag rear axle...

4 wheel alignment will highlight any issues :)

Local LR Specialist inspected the vehicle and seemed to think axle slightly out- fitted on friday afternoon I think was his exact words. Did'nt seem that concerned as the wear was minimal in his opinion.
Items requiring attention were-

Drag link needs adjustment and was'nt sittin flat.
Bushes gone on front shocks
Handbrake adjustment

Also commented that the 255 tyres on a 225mm wide rim may not be helping matters.

Although the info is free and and not conclusive some peace of mind!

Any other ideas?

Had the electronic wheel alignment test/adjustment apparently one toe out at the front.
Hopefully rear tyres will wear evenly.

Ask me in 3 months!
