The cover plate actually wasn't that bad, its just covered in waxoil, managed to get a replacement from the scrappers of an old V8, done the job. Just waiting on info for my new hub seals and all should be well. Regards Dennis

If your thinking about screwing the filler plug all the way in to the rear diff housing, then observe the following pictures, it may just save you hitting yourself over the head with a wrench. Rear salisbury axle, note the plug has been ripped out by the diff, stripping the threads, also...

Thanks discomania, It was actually the hose connection which had split just at the crimp, had to buy a new hose, fitted and hey presto, now OK.

My 110 is losing about 1 litre of power steering fluid a fortnight. Had a quick squint at the pump, lots of fluid around it and under the vehicle. What I want to know is, are there any common faults associated with this model, the pump unit looks like its in a very awkward place, is it a big job...
