    It's flaking off a bit in places but I only seen one hole but now he's put tank back in (long range big ####er) can't see rails as well now, I looked before and sounded solid when I hit it... I used to have an s3 1979 and sure that was fine with weld all over it, this is a 2004 wtf

    If it does have few minor holes around fuel tank will it affect strength of it much. Back end weight is around 1800kg on rear axle was planning on off roading fair bit of the 4000 miles back to blighty

    Great stuff I thought this German was talking out his arse, he literally told me to get rid of it it's no good for off road use.... Couldn't believe it. This is our first trip in it! It's a 2004 too btw. Heard dinitrol is worth doing, the waxoyl all seems to have come off.

    Hi right long story but I am in West Africa right now with my beloved expedition prepped d2. Went in the sea a year ago, washed it off after but had to park the car up for a year. This german mechanic who has the car recons the chassis is buggered. Doesn't look that bad to me, rubbed it down...
