hello all first of all best wishes and a lot of miles for all of you and your freelander. I was just wondering. When I start my FL1, I hear a sound comming from the brake pedals... Like the ABS or TC kicking in... Does anybody know what this is and if this is normal? all the rest works...

by the way, the riverse lights switch on when I put it on revrese? so that switch cannt be broken...

Thanks again Chaser, checked the cable and I have voltage at the gear knob, so that is all OK. the brake lights work properly. Where can I find the relai from the brakes? and are the gear switches easy accesable?

checked it and there was no bulb placed, after placing off course the light burns howver it stays on, so they probably took it out for a reason..... Could this be the brake switch under the brake ? or abs sensors? But if it would be the abs sensors, the abs light should stay on right? and...

How can you see if you have a modifed thermostat? I know that on my freelander the headgasket has been repleced about 3000KM ago inlcluding waterpump. Everything is still fine with my oil and coolant (knock on wood..) But as the car is new to me I just wanted to check if they alos may have...

Thanks Chaser, the green HDC on does not stay on all the time. It only lights up with the start of the engine just like the TR and ABS etc, Abs stays on a bit longer till I have driven about 200 meters and than it goes of. so that seems to work all ok.... Should only the green HDC burn...

I jjst see that the amber light should light up as a check when you start the engine? Is that correct? as that is not happening at mine..... I only get the Green light when starting the engine... could this be a fuse? or worse????
