Evening Guys, Alot has been written on taking the CAT off the exhaust system, but has anyone had a non CAT go thru the MOT? I am going to take mine off at the weekend and am wondering if i need to keep the old CAT to put back on at MOT time? I have a 300td, 159k - high mileage - no smoking...

P.s - I have checked the usual fuses etc.

Has anyone had any experience of the front fogs failing? Neither of them are working att and for the life of me, I cannot see how to get into them to check bulbs etc - Can anyone help?It is on a 300tdi and they are mounted within the bumper.Thanks

I went to a local battery supplier and they fitted it for me, no extra charge (pardon the pun!) They put a small battery pack over the terminals just to keep the radio code as its not something the previous owner passed on - no need to goto a LR dealer.

This evening I have fitted the new oil pressure switch and the light s now out. The part cost £4.99 inc VAT an took 10 mins to fit. It is located to the right of the oil filter on the 300tdi, just pull the wire off, unscrew the old switch, you need to becareful and ensure that you remove the...

Got the part last night and hope to fit it this evening. From what I told my Indy dealer, he seems to think it's the Oil Light Switch as well. Let's hope so!

I have recently changed the bulb on my 300Tdi clock - It's reasonably straight forward. You will need to carefully prise the clock face from the dash, it did this with a screwdriver and went round the facia easing it out. you need to be carefull not to go too mad and break the retaining clips...

To be honest, I cure mine by turning the radio up !, ignorance being bliss!!! It only happends in 5th on mine, so I hv'nt worried too much about it.

Does it happen when you are in certain gears? Mine does this when i'm in fifth gear, again it stops when I take my foot off the accelerator.
