    S3 No spark at points

I know this sounds stupid but when my early series 2a wouldnt start I found I connected the battery the wrong way round, because I forgot it was positive earth. The engine turned the right way but the coil did not produce any current. Just a thought! :)

    Siezed brake drum screw

I know but it's not on the road at the moment, it's just being used for farm work and just a temporery fix would do. We are going to restore it next year hopefully

    Siezed brake drum screw

I used the hole in the middle of the brake drum which released the rust, then I just had to simply pull off the drum! I degreased the shoes (looks like the oil seal needs replacing) and the drum, put it and the wheel back on and now when I try to do an emergency stop it stops without pulling to...

    Outside Series

When I got gertrude earlier this year (1965 2a) she had been stood, neglected, with her backside in a hedge since 1989, outside, and the only thing that seems to have gone rusty in one of the door tops and part of the bulkhead. And when she was bought home she started fine (with a new fuel pump...

    Ammeter/voltage regulator

When we picked up our 1965 2a the battery was discharging and we seem to have found the problem. When we took the voltage regulator lid off when all the wires were connected to the box, the points that stop the dynamo discharging the battery stuck when they were pushed as if it was like a magnet...

    Stupid fuel guage

Ok when I took the fuel sender unit out I slowly moved the float up and when I get just before the full position the guage reads just under half full. But when I move the float just a fraction more, the guage hits the full mark
  19. M

    Stupid fuel guage

One wire goes to the fuel sender unit and two more wires coming off the same point go to the fuse box. On the other side of the fuse box that wire goes to the ignition switch

    Stupid fuel guage

    That is the heater switch
