No fob not doing anything,disconnected battery today for 5 mins or so and on reconnection had to use EKA code to unlock and start etc.

Probably the the motor thats seized,mine was the same so had the motor off and freed it up but only works when it feels like it !!!!!! replacement the only cure i think.:mad:

Even with my tensioner pushed right down i needed another 20mm of belt to get it over the alternator pulley.

She is running nice and quiet,just that lovely V8 sound to listen too.thanks for the help.

NEW BELT NOW FITTED,ALTHOUGH THE REPLACEMENT WAS THE SAME PART No AS OLD ONE:confused: HAD TO GET ONE ABOUT 15mm LONGER;) WEIRD

Def the right belt as its the same part no as old one.will have another go in the morning.

Evening everybody,thought i would change the serp belt this afternoon,nice easy job thought i - but how the $%$£ do you get the new one on,with tensioner fully back i still need about another good inch of belt to get it over the alternator pulley :(.

Anybody any idea on this prob,just in the process of fitting a towbar to the 96 Disco i picked up on Monday when the rear door has decided not to open,seems to be unlocking ok just not opening with either exterior or internal handle.cheers :mad:
