Recent oil change and transmission fluid, according to previous owner. Have just gone and picked up the Lucas Fix, now going to put it in and see if it makes a difference.

So is it worth using the additive or would I just be wasting my hard-earned?

The car is going fine. It just feels that at lower speeds, it isn't picking up as it should. If it had a manual gearbox, it would feel like the clutch "slipping" as if I had my foot inadvertently left on the clutch.

According to the manual, the LR part number is PRC 4500. Underneath that is printed the Clarion code PU-9044-A.

Great - thank you. I will contact them and see what happens. BTW, where were aerials placed on the RRC? I cannot find any trace of one although the radio and speakers were fitted. I have heard about something being next to the rear wiper motor but am unclear.

Probably used on many models but I am after a replacement for the original Clarion PU-9044-A radio/cassette player that is in my 1986 RRC. Odd thing is, I cannot find an aerial anywhere on the car - surely it would have had one when the radio was fitted??

Anyone know of a source for a cypress green lower tailgate? I am finding more rust bubbles each time I look at it now. Also, if anyone is interested in the roofracks (home-made but custom-fit), make me an offer.
