Could there be coolant in the exhaust still from the headgasket failure, Causing white smoke now and again ? Does it run ok ? miss firing ? down on power ?

Sounds like nathan has the best idea, Although you can get heavy duty diff pans, could be time for an upgrade, There not cheap tho, a mate has done it on his 93 range rover, im sure he said £150 each or somthing for the parts ?

I think that would sound better with a rear silencer fitted. 93 k plate, so you would prob get away with it at mot time. V8 sounds awesome with an exhaust fitted, im tempted to do somthing on my 98 V8 disco

Bilstein shocks were awesome on my old bmw 3 series, not sure if they are any good off road tho ?

Just done this to my v8 after fitting a new rad, My local motor factors told me that my disco should be running pink stuff, The old coolant was green, so flushed the system through with a hose till it all runs clear, The refilled and bled the pink stuff, Lasts 5 years !

Auto box fluid done, Cant see any leaks from anywhere, It took about a litre, not sure how much the auto box holds ?

mileage ? must be high as not in advert, Prob been off road (cheq plate and snorkel) Check for damage underneath !

Did you buy it ? Good luck ! Parts are relatively cheap, Rust is not cheap to fix, so check sills, inner wings anywhere underneath, back door, boot floor, and inside the rear door shuts by the latch. Check mot and if there was an advisory notice last time, could tell you a few things...

Diesel ? Did you change fuel filter ? Maybe sucking air in past the seal on the fuel filter, Had this on a car a few years back

Do you know if disco 2 3.9v8 radiator is the same as the disco 1 ? £260 is the cheapest ive found, thats an aftermarket from a parts specialist.

A genuine rad is £450, Aftermarket £250, I think it will be an aftermarket one !
