:) your not being rude at all :) Wife currently runs a rover 75 diesel estate,she always has the radio and heater on full every time she’s moves the thing and I’m the summer she puts the air con on and so far no problems concerning power but as you say quadruple the power needed to fire up...

no Wife wants a new car,had no idea what to get, I stupidly suggested a disco 3 or rangie and the wife now wants a rangie :rolleyes: I was only thinking about a diesel because of mpg. Apart from our regular ish trips up to Lowestoft (120 miles each way) we only do low mileage so to be honest...

Lots of info to think about. Budget is £4,500 max,if I move over to the v8 petrol that opens up a lot more choice but just can’t imagine the mpg to be the same as a diesel. Did think about a disco 3 but the wife seems to like the rangie better. I know you don’t but a rangie for its mpg
