Left car into LR today, they performed a visual survey on car and reported in the attached. Regards to the "milky" coolant, they said they did not see this and that the temps were fine which I already knew. If oil was getting into the coolant from cylinders and or head gasket, would a...

Yes just acquired this. I had a TD6 and well to say that is a different cattle of fish is no understatement, far easier engine to work with. The coolant looked 98% milky with odd spots of light brown/pinkish. The coolant flush/change is £210 inclusive so not sure how much coolant they...

That is what it was before I put new stuff in. Will LR diagnose the colour or simply do as I ask and change the coolant?

If its oil, what could happen and how to fix? I am getting a flush/replacement tomorrow I guess this will make the coolant whatever colour its meant to be.

I tried the test antifreeze thing, I followed instructions and no readings appeared. What I can see is that when exposed with a torch the liquid is milky with tints of light pink/brown. I am booked into LR tomorrow for a flush and change, can you shed light on what the colour means?

Ok guys, bought an anti-freeze tester from Eurocar parts. My question is this, if empty of coolant, will the tester pick up a trace and if so will it state what chemical is found further indicating the type previously used? I know understand G48 (Blue) to be the most common used in...

Regards to frying the engine, my temps are in the center of the gauge after 15 minutes and remain so. Is this a normal temp? If I mixed coolants, how soon could things begin to corrode etc?

This is the thing I bought fluid from halfrauds and when I checked the gauge, there appears to be no coolant and only water that remains. I have no idea what fluid may currently exist or had been there and dont want to risk mixing. As said below, I have not got the golden balls to DIY it >...

I need STC50519 power steering fluid. Is it ok to top up PSF as opposed to flush and replacing it? Meanwhile Ive been quoted £150 inc labour to flush and replace coolant, is this steep considering they are claiming car needs 13 Ltrs?
