I managed to get the use of a 4 post car ramp to have a proper look at the rattle/knock. Turns out it’s actually the catalyser rattling around inside the downpipe! Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help, I’ll take a look tomorrow and report back with any findings. The rattle does actually sound like a bolt being thrown around so you may be spot on here!

I haven’t looked, is there an inspection panel in the Bell housing to do this or is it a gearbox removal job?
