    A Sticky Problem

Guys, I've recently fitted the body kit to my Freebifter and can honestly say it's a right pain getting the fins to stick to the bumper. Anyway in the course of trying every substance known to man I've left some horrible gluey marks on the bumper that appear to be getting whiter by the day...

    Does Anybody Know?

Hey Mondo, Is there something I should be aware of with Greenlane 4X4?

    Does Anybody Know?

CALL OFF THE SEARCH........ I've located the said dealer. It's Greenlane 4X4. Managed to trawl Outlook and found an old E-mail from them! Am just in the process of sticking my photo's in the gallery as promised some time ago!

    Does Anybody Know?

Nope, it's not Scorpion Racing either......anybody else?

    Does Anybody Know?

A good effort but no it's not them, unless the website has changed somewhat since I last looked a couple of months ago. Anybody else throw a name in the hat?

    Does Anybody Know?

There is a Land Rover specialist somewhere in the nottingam / mansfied region that are able to supply a light bar that fixes on the roof and has 4 spots. They used to advertise on E-bay and have a website. I cannot for the life of me remember who they are so I'm hoping somebody out there...

    Extended Warranties.....

Mark, If you caught yours quick and avoided warping the engine, how come it still cost 2.5k. Can you clarify what catching it quick entails, is it checking to see what going on with the collant or just switching off the engine when the proverbial s**t hits the fan? I've read plenty of...

    Extended Warranties.....

Hmmmm...not sure what to do now, at the end of the day if the engine goes I'm looking at some real money, I might really try and get the small print read to make sure everything is covered. If I go for it I'll try and pay over so many months, it doesn't hurt as much as paying in one lump...

    Extended Warranties.....

Oh I'll certainly be checking out the small print...I'm not one for having the wool pulled over my eyes. The claim limit is 5k a year, regardless of if it's 1 claim (less likely) or 10 claims (more likely). They just have a limit of 5k per year. I only do around 6-7k a year so it's easy to...

    Extended Warranties.....

Has anybody good or bad experience with extended 3rd party warranties for Freebifters. I had a 3year warranty on mine when I bought it which was lucky as I certainly had my monies worth....rear diff, alternator....lambada sensor to name but a few. This policy cannot be renewed as the company...

Is this what I think it is.....

It's more of a thud noise, different to when the bush went last time and not as persistant. From the replies it's pointing away from a shagged VCU so at least there's light at the end of the tunnel. I'll lob it into my honest mechanic mate and let him have a poke around.

Is this what I think it is.....

I've almost completed Operation Freebifter and look forward to posting some photo's when I get her cleaned and valeted. Unfortunately I've got a couple of niggly problems that I need help on. I've read load of posts in relation to seized VCU's and am beginning to wonder if I'm the next victim...

    3 door roof bars

Try http://www.landroverbreakers.com/ I got a full roof rail set for £150 which I thought was good value, they have a fair few dead Freebifters also if you fancy some other bits, loads of leather steering wheels etc.. Speak to a guy called Timmy, he seems to be in the know about things there!

    I've been at it again....

Yep, I've been tinkering about with my Freebifter and once more need advice from someone in the know. I've a 2000 W Freebifter that wasn't fitted with powerfold wing mirrors. However I've managed to get myself a pair of them. I've managed to fit them with a few modifications to the plastic...

    Steering Wheel Help....pretty Please

It's PARP PARP and away. It worked like a dream. Both sides working. Not sure the purists would approve of what I've done but I won't tell anybody if you don't. Although I wouldn't class myself as an expert by any stretch of the imagination but if anybody needs advice on steering wheel...

    Steering Wheel Help....pretty Please

Changing the wheel was a doddle, and indeed the airbag isn't an issue either, or wasn't with mine anyway. Basically once the two torque screws are removed either side of the wheel the whole airbag module comes out with just one little yellow connector in. Obviously make sure the ignition is...

    Steering Wheel Help....pretty Please

Troops, As part of my undertaking to accessorise my Freebifter I've swapped the old basic steering wheel for a nice leather one. I was amazed at how easy it was and how I managed to do it with no help at all. Imagine my suprise when some dozy t@*t pulled out in front of me some 20 minutes...

    Roof Rails

STONE THE CROWS, some 2 hours after I nearly set light to the Freebifter in frustration I have finally sorted it. I consulted the workshop CD I have which although didn't give me the direct answer, put me onto the chain of thought about taking out the rear light cluster. Job done, managed to...

    FAO people with A Bars

Oh yes, I forgot that what they're for, have a nice whopping pair (spotlights that is) stuck on it already!

    Roof Rails

Got the roof bars but disaster has struck when fitting them. There is a little piece of metal that you bolt into to fix the bars on the back. Needless to say when I removed them to put the roof rails on, the bit of metal dropped into the car and is somewhere at the bottom of the rear quarter...
