yer the spring just has a retaining plate at the bottom which is 2 bolts and then that just lifts out once the vehicle is jacked up. shocks just hav a nut at the top and one at the bottom.

mite shorten the life of your prop ujs. some people find their props bind others dont. give this a good read. Thinking of lifting your landy? read this first

Usual things like it starts and moves and tht the engine or gearbox arent shagged. :D also check for rust. parts on the chassis which tend to go are the various outriggers and especially the rear crossmember. ALso check the bulkhead for rust in places like the footwells, door pillars etc etc...

have you tried the x-eng one??

you could do both rear springs and shocks in less than 4 hours. its the fronts tht take a bit more time.

could you not get one from somewhere like screwfix or summin??

wheel balancing might be out. check your rims to see if you've lost a wheel weight. could also be a siezed CV joint if the shaking is really severe. happened to my 90 and felt like the thing was gonna shake itself to peices.

nah was just a cheap thing to mount some rear reversing lights to and a high lift. did save the cab a bit actually. stopped it going to far backwards. wasnt chassis mounted or anything tho. Gonna fit a propa one when i rebuild it :D

ive had terra firma and had no problem with their stuff. also used OME and again no problems!!!

have heard mixed reviews about nene overland. Some people say they are great and their after sale service is excellent, although i also no some people who hav been sold absolute sheds by them.

ive got an A reg 90. engine and gearbox are shagged as is suspension. body work is pretty good. chassis doesnt seem too bad.

baught it for 400 to use as spares anyway so not to fussed, but am now contemplating selling it on and try and make a bit of a profit :rolleyes:. so was gonna try and stop it smoking if was a simple cheap job. ah well not to worry! ill sell it to one of those "we'll buy any car" lot. one round...

Hi, recently bought a TD and it smokes like theres no tomorrow, it basically produces its own smoke screen even when the engine is up to temperature. maybe i should sell it to the mod :rolleyes: any ideas as to what it could be? overfuelling?? engine seems to run ok, just smokes a LOT! cheers...

told you it looked like you needed a puller!! :D

shouldnt have to put a relay in. no it wont, all you do is turn the engine over on the starter motor.
