I'll be watching this thread. I've bought a hawk kit as well but haven't got round to fitting it. How do you plan on getting the wires from the dash to the doors? Have you got some kind of trucking / sheathing?
Cheers
Russ
I ended up replacing my 2" lift with hd normal height springs just for the very same reason.
I think it just looked at bit shoddy with a dixon bate towbar adjusted to its lowest setting and then have a drop plate onto it.
I had similar problems. In your last pic if you loosen the nut holding on the mount to allow it to float until it locates the slot/hole. I noticed some mounts are supplied m10 and m12. I had to tickle my gearbox mounts out slightly for the m12
A fair old shift today. Body lifted on and mounted. Rock sliders on, fuel tank connected, most of the wiring done, front brake pipes finished, power steering pump on. Only got photos of the lifting tho. Feels like I'm getting somewhere
Did a bit more tonight. Transfer box build back up with new intermediate shaft, flywheel and clutch back on too. Then got a hand getting the engine and box together then mounted in the chassis.
