Been wading quite a few times in this Disco and my last one, proper deep on occasion over the wipers....I have full carpets with carpet mats, comfy padded seats and lots of electrical bits and bobs inside, HID lights etc Never once had a breakdown due to water damage!!!

Header tank is about half full, havent checked the bleed screws to see if theres water in the rad and thermo housing. Was more concerned about getting it home!

Right my 300Tdi Disco seems to have gone bang. Topped up the water today after thinking it had an air lock, topped it up through the bleed plugs then topped up the expansion tank as neccessary. Went laning after, erratic temp guage- would rise to the top then fall like a stone. On the way...

Im no mechanic but it could be the heater matrix weeping or leaking slightly then running down the transmission tunnel. Might be worth sticking a post in the Disco bit on here and see if anyone more knowledgable can help ;)

your right i probably could add a 24v alt but makes more sense in my eyes to convert it to 12v.....not only does it rid me of the hassle of rigging up another alternator but it keeps the engine bay simple, its easier to swap to another vehicle if i sell up and i get a half decent 12v winch at...

Oh and is the mounting pattern the same as normal winches or is the odd one like the TDS ones?
