Would really take the time to check the state of your battery and alternator, I had the SRS fault on my P38 on and off for weeks, I checked the cables and it would come and go. The battery eventually packed up as did the alternator with both replaced the SRS fault has gone...

azzd - it was indeed the battery, completely dry, dead as a dead thing. held enough charge to start and that was it. Also turned out to be completely under spec'd. I have seen bigger batteries on a head torch :P Battery replaced and all working fine. Now just need to reset all the windows...
