Is the air intake supposed to be covered? Mine is not so was wondering if that could be the reason water got into my new compressor. I'm still stuck in Saudi so can't investigate

Its possible sierrafery but as I'm 3000 miles away I can't really investigate. It'll stay on springs for now. Problem is one of my dogs can't get into it as its too high :) guess I'll look for a little car too

Another update. New compressor full of water again and broken. I'm still in Saudi so haven't driven it at all. I've converted it to Terrafirm shocks and springs. Hopefully I can get a refund from the seller of the compressor as its not been driven through any puddles or deep water.

Had the same issue with mine. Changed the XYZ switch and everything was back to normal.

My 2002 TD5 Auto is 330 a year which works out at just under 29 a month

Quick update about Lucy. Air compressor replaced (full of water), air bags didn't require replacing.Full service carried out including gearbox service. pollen filter fit and total cost of 200 pounds (using an Arabic keyboard so no pound sign). I supplied the parts

The new air bags I have don't have the threaded portion on top. Any ideas how I connect them?

Afternoon all, My D2 (02 Plate) air compressor stopped working about 4 months ago. The relay was changed with a working relay and still nothing. Its sagging quite badly now. Am I looking at a compressor change or is there something else I can check first? The only snag is that I'm in Saudi...

Sounds like your XYZ switch has gone. About £480 for the switch. Mine is in the garage having it replaced right now. Similar symptoms but mine wouldn't go into reverse.

Just out of interest, if you put the truck in neutral and start it it then you can select reverse. The gearbox will be in limp mode thou

Is changing the XYZ switch a job for me (basic car mechanic) or is it one for a garage?

I’ll have a look at the fuses tomorrow but as the D and 3,2 & 1 gears work I’m thinking the fuses are fine.
