    It had problems going from gear to gear it revved ok in gear and the clutch worked just the clutch was bitting just off the floor so if i am low on gearbox oil im thinking this could be the cause

    Both front drive shafts are out but i meant the drive shaft that goes from the IRD to the rear differential where about do i separate it? The driveshaft mentioned is the only thing bolted onto the IRD now so once i know where to take it apart i can slide the IRD out tomorrow

    Yeah i knew that mate hence why i couldn't get that hidden bolt out of the rear IRD mount, i will remove the dog bone bracing today and undo the drive shaft its going to be 40c today so not much work will get done but i will make an effort

    Here are pics of the drivers side IRD mount or end mount bracket there is a bolt up inside the circled area, the engine bay picture shows no access to the bolts from the top and one picture circled shows a socket still on the last gearbox bolt but its unassailable

    Gel how did u reach the right side IRD top mount bolt the whole mount is in the way i think the only way to access this one bolt is by removing the sub frame u can slide a ring spanner up thru the gap in the mount but u have no way of moving it without the ring spanner hitting the mount
