The key is next to the ignition cos i've took it out to put the screwdriver in. Has anyone got a solution to this ?

Just started doing it so changed car battery to rule that out. It is a 2004 plate

Hi, On my L322 it is stuck in park, i can release it to neutral but only good for pushing it about. Key will not turn past one click which releases the steering lock then i can pull key out and start with a screwdriver but still stuck in park. I have a new lock and keys to fit but worried if not...
