Well if you need some hand on info, I have a NAS Freelander 1 KV6 which uses the MS43 (and it is a drive by wire) and the NAS version of the V6 Freelander uses a MAF not a MAP. (For those that want to look it up, the part number is MHK100620 )

I use the Kaiser alloy metal thermostat in my wife's Freelander here in Canada. As Nodge68 stated, the quick connect hose connections had to be removed. I like not having to worry about yet more plastic breaking.

What I had to do was to unplug the hose from the other end, and rotate the hose on the thermostat connector. I also used a Radiator Hose Pick.
