    loosened connector on air tank, and let air out. reset fault codes and started up, filled tank in about a min or so. drained tank & repeated. Proof if ever the tank holds air, the compressor works, and no leaks from comp and tank to valve block on side of tank

    Simply see if it is man enough to fill the holding tank in the amount of time dictated by the ECU

    Thanks saint.v8. Using the proper diagnostics have made the difference in diagnosing, although it IS mechanical failure I'm sure. Thanks for your height too. Now where is this inlet solenoid you speak of, I'm afraid I don't know

    Update. Been plugged into land rover diagnostic today. Pump fine. Ride height sensors fine. Dash switch fine. Pressure fine. Holding tank fine. Valve block fine. These ELECTRONIC items all report as ok, with signals and readings. However, they can't report mechanical failings.......everything...

    no leaks, its been fine until I changed the pump ring. I've checked all connections etc, had it running with door open/closed all afternoon,so much so in fact, the thermal cut out activated!

    Have a 96 P38. The problem is the A/c. It works fine for about 45 mins then stops blowing cold. I hade the gas checked, was fine. Took it to dealer who ran dignostic. No faults found. They did say that the condensor fans where not cutting in though, but didn't know why. Further investigation...
