:confused: I have the Land Rover "FL5" head unit in the facelift 2004 V6 Premium... and there's a 6 disc changer in the (double din) head unit. you have to press the "load" button multiple times to fill it up with discs. In my old one (2003) there was a changer under the driver's seat.

Sorry had overlooked that detail of this thread. My bad. :o

Spent 10 minutes hunting for the CD auto changer, which on the 2003 was under the driver's seat. Realised it's now built in to the head unit. :lvlove-020: If only it had an aux in

I know, mental eh? Living on the edge! :clap2: The old one was great and all, but was clearly going to explode fairly soon. I fully expect the new one to explode at some point, I'm just hoping that I've prolonged that.

8 bolts... it comes off as a complete thing. don't try and take the plastic off separately.

Good point, I guess I was referring to the major ones, ie did they move to the MLS HG or is still the thinner one until changed. Assume also therefore the same crappy inlet manifold plenum with VIS motors etc and same likelihihood of 3 amigos.

I considered using an F. But in this case it would very much be a sarcastic "fun" Have got compression issues on at least one or two cylinders.

I've got a 2003 FL1 V6 ES Premium. It's got a few issues including low compression around one of the cylinders, exhaust needs changing, suspension is awful, tyres don't match etc, but despite this, I love the concept of the FL1 and when it runs well, it's great. The cost of all this stuff is...

MIL = malfunction indicator light. Also mother in law. Is it any coinkydink I have both this weekend? :eek:

Did a compression test. Not good results. Cyl 2 considerably down on the other 5. Explains the misfire. Doesn't help with what to do next!

You've basically just quoted the ABC of things that go wrong with Freelanders. Most likely bad valves. VCU. Heater matrix.
